FLIR Kicks Off Fifth Season as Sponsor for MLS Champion Portland Timbers

The Major League Soccer (MLS) season opens this Sunday with games kicking off across the nation, including a home match for the defending champion Portland Timbers.  

Headquartered in nearby Wilsonville, Ore., FLIR has been a proud sponsor of the Portland Timbers since the Timbers joined MLS in 2011. The team’s fans and the experience of home games at Providence Park are truly unique in MLS.

The Timbers late season run last season took them to the MLS Cup, where they beat the Columbus Crew 2-1. This weekend the Timbers will host the Crew in a rematch (1:30 p.m. Pacific, ESPN), and FLIR will be there to celebrate the new season and the raising of the team's MLS Championship banner.
